Norwegians love wool. In rough, cold weather, Norwegian swear by the “3-layer-princible” – with thin wool as the inner layer, followed by a thicker, warm middle layer, topped off with an outer layer that protects against wind and rain. These days however, with soft, thin merino wool readily available, using wool as an inner layer has become as common in the city as in the mountains.
